Within minutes of it crashing Kebi smelled several of Carlos’s men near by. Knowing that Morgan and Charley weren’t going to be able to move Roxie told Kebi they should morph weredog.
“Roxie you’re right. We can’t move them and the men will be here soon. If we morph it will be easier for us to hide and then follow where they take Charley and Morgan. Quick, morph,” Kebi said.
Before the words were completely out of his mouth they both morphed weredog. They could smell the men getting closer so they ‘got the hell out of dodge’.
They barely got away before Pedro and Raphael, two of Carlos’s men, showed up. They looked in seeing Charley unconscious and Morgan bleeding. Pedro could feel Charley was a vampire. Carlos is going to love this. Slapping her hard across the face she slowly woke up. Morgan crawled over to her before Raphael could stop him.
“Charley are you alright,” he asked trying to show he wasn’t in pain.
“As good as expected since I was knocked unconscious then got slapped hard across the face. You don’t look to good yourself with that piece of metal sticking out of your shoulder. Looks like you’re bleeding a lot.”
“I’ll live, I hope,” he quietly said trying to smile.
“Hey, you two let’s go. I want to get to our camp,” Pedro said with a growl.
Charley looked over to him, “can’t you see he’s too weak to walk.”
“That’s not my problem. Use your vampire strength to carry him. I don’t care,” Pedro told her.
“He said you’re a…,” Morgan started to say before Charley cut him off, “Don’t listen to him. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
She put his good arm over her shoulder for support. With Pedro in front and Raphael behind they headed to the enemy camp. When they arrived Charley and Morgan were put in a small hut.
“Raphael, I’m going to radio for the copter to pick us up at first light. You stay here and make sure those two don’t escape,” Pedro ordered.

“Senhor Carlos, we got the two Americans. You’re not going to believe this but the woman is a vampire,” Pedro told Carlos.
“I thought I smelled a vamp. When I ran into them at a club in Rio I felt vampire vibes. I wasn’t sure who it was coming from but had a feeling it was her. Take extra care with her.
“You got it boss.”

“Hey, can we get something to drink here.”
“What do you want, blood or water,” Raphael teasing her.
“Water you idiot.”
Looking over to Charley, “What’s going on here? That is the second time one of them made reference to you being a vampire,” Morgan asked obviously in pain.
“Don’t worry about it; he’s just trying to bait us. Right now we have to figure out how to escape before the copter Carlos sends get here,” she told him.
Pedro went back to the hut to check on the prisoners. Seeing him back Charley yelled to him, “Hey, can we get some bandages here so I can treat Morgan’s wound.”
“No.”
“Look idiot, you want him to bleed to death. Carlos won’t be too happy with you if he dies,” she screams out to him.
Pedro went in the hut. “Look I don’t care if he bleeds out or not. Turns out you’re the one Carlos wants anyways.”
Between having been unconscious from the explosion and along with the stress of the hike to Pedro’s camp helping to carry Morgan had put considerable stress on Charley and her vampire systems.
Seeing Morgan bleeding she started to become restless. The sight and smell of his blood was making her want to feed but she had to try to control herself. It didn’t help with Carlos’s men trying to get her goat. All that mattered was keeping her being a vampire from Morgan. She knew it was going to be almost impossible though.
“Psst, Charley, can you hear me. It’s me Kebi. I have Roxie with me. I morphed human so we can talk and plan your escape. Roxie is still in weredog mode to cover me.”
“Morgan’s hurt and still bleeding. Are you able to help Morgan or are you in to much pain,” she said to both Kebi and him.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to help. I’m starting to feel really weak form the blood lose.”
“You and Roxie will have to take care of the other man and I’ll deal with the one hanging around here. You’ll have to radio back to our base and have them send another copter. Tell them that the one Carlos is sending will be here at first light. That’s going to mean they will have to pick us up tonight.”
“We’ve already found where the radio is. Give me five minutes to get in position,” Kebi whispered.
Some how I’m going to have to get the other one in here, she wondered.
Charley heard a scuffle and growl in the distance. Without warning Raphael came charging in the hut with a pistol in his hand. Now not having any choice using her vampire speed she was on him in a flash. With the sight and smell of blood her canines automatically extended. Bending Raphael’s head to the side she sunk her teeth into his jugular vein and drained all the blood from him before he could scream.
